Amy Winehouse Gets Arrested For Assault
After a long night of partying, Amy Winehouse was spotted in a rather sour mood while leaving her London pad on Friday morning (April 25). And there was good reason, as the troubled Rehab singer was soon after arrested for assault.
“A 24-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault after attending a central London police station by appointment,” a Scotland Yard spokesman told press. “She is currently in custody.”
As previously reported by Gossip Girls, the Grammy-winning singer allegedly headbutted a man outside of a London pub a few days back. The Sun is claiming that Winehouse also punched another man and smoked drugs in the open.
Since that time, a 38-year-old man filed a report stating he was “headbutted” by Winehouse after trying to get her a cab at 3:20 AM on the night in question - leading to Amy’s arrest. If convicted, she could face six months in jail.
