Amy Winehouse Calls It Quits - For Rehab
In a move that has most people scratching their heads, Amy Winehouse and husband Blake Fielder-Civil abandoned their stay in a drug addiction rehabilitation center after only 48 hours.
It’s not clear exactly why they thought it was a good idea to leave so soon, but late Tuesday night there was a helicopter waiting to pick up the pair and take them from the Essex facility back to London.
A source close to Amy told press, “She was supposed to stay for a few weeks and sort herself out. But after a couple of decent meals she insisted she was fit to go home.”
The insider continued, “She wanted to leave on Tuesday evening. People close to her are devastated. But Blake wants her to return to normality — and we all know what their normality is. They’ve even been planning to meet friends in Camden. It’s madness.”
Sadly, the “Rehab” singer is singing quite a different tune now from the one she was humming after her overdose last week when she admitted she was addicted to cocaine and heroin. As for the future of Winehouse’s sobriety, it’s looking grim.
