American Music Awards Announces 2008 Nominees
On November 23rd, the 36th Annual American Music Awards will take over the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. And earlier today (October 14), Jesse McCartney, Jimmy Kimmel and Julianne Hough helped announce this year’s nominees at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
As could be expected, Alicia Keys was one of the top names of the day, scoring five nominations, followed by Coldplay and the Eagles with four nods each.
Next on the list were rapper Lil Wayne and R&B singer/songwriter Chris Brown, who will both compete in three categories.
As for the big night, Jimmy Kimmel will handle the hosting duties, while New Kids on the Block, the Jonas Brothers, and Pink will entertain the crowd with live performances.
