Monday, September 03, 2007 Adrien Brody Goes To Venice For Darjeeling
Camera-toting Adrien Brody was in a festive mood at the photo call for The Darjeeling Limited, his entry into the 64th annual Venice Film Festival. And while the big talk surrounding the film continues to focus on Adrien’s co-star, Owen Wilson, and his recent suicide attempt, the Oscar winning actor did his best to move the focus onto his latest cinema endeavor.
Darjeeling documents the journey of three brothers across India after they receive word about their father’s death. The three brothers in the independent film are played by Wilson, Brody, and Jason Schwartzman. The name of the movie comes from the fictional long distance train the brothers are riding named The Darjeeling Limited, which is based upon a real life railroad that runs through the Himalayas, providing a breathtaking backdrop for the film.
Joining Darjeeling Limited’s celebrity rich cast are Anjelica Huston and Natalie Portman, two female stars who are a good counterpoint to the strong male characters. The movie’s next screening is slated for the annual New York Film Festival later this month.
Enjoy the photos of Adrien at the Venice Film festival (September 3).
