Adam Lambert’s Massive Record Pre-Sale
He may not have won Season 8 of “American Idol,” but it sure seems that Adam Lambert has taken the lead when it comes to record sales.
According to a report, the “Idol” runner-up has climbed to the #2 spot on Amazon.com’s sales list this week with presale figures for his new album.
The crazy thing is, Lambert’s debut doesn’t even hit stores and online retailers until November 24th- almost two months from now.
That being said, it’s no wonder people are clamoring for Adam’s new album- besides his own natural charisma, Lambert boasts collaborations like Lady Gaga producer RedOne, Ryan Tedder of One Republic, and Backstreet Boys/Britney Spears songwriter Max Martin.

I understand being excited for an album but I wish people would stop documenting every step Adam is taking and hyping him up without having heard one single track or note from his album. He’s already admitted the pressure has gotten to him. Over-hype not only puts people off, it results in dissappointment. It’s so not fair to expect such crazy high and unrealistic expectations from him, he is new to this and human. While artists take a couple of years to debut an album, he’s been given a few months - WHILST being on tour!
Despite his talent, his music could still be awful. Working with known producers does not mean your music will be great or universal. I wish him the best because he is a complete sweetheart but watch how this buzz and over-hype backfires on the guy. The media should have just kept quiet until he debuted his album instead of trying to get hits.
