Friday, May 04, 2007 50 Cent Selling Multi-Million-Dollar Mansion
If you have ever wanted to live in Connecticut, now might be the time to act on your aspirations. That is, if you have $10 million to throw at some new digs. Back in 2003, rapper 50 Cent bought a 48,000 square foot estate for $4.1 million and tossed another $6 million into it over the past few years. He put in a helipad, and renovated the mansion top to bottom. Former Heavyweight Boxing champion Mike Tyson was the former owner of the sprawling estate, which is located about two hours outside of New York City in Farmington, Connecticut. Fifty may actually have trouble unloading such a price-inflated home. “It’s a fabulous place, but our area doesn’t really reap over $10 million,” said Lisa Sweeney, an agent at William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty in Avon, Connecticut. “What is somebody going to do with that, especially since it is so remote?” Sweeney asked.
The plush mansion has a full gym, two billiard rooms, racquetball courts and a disco.
Stripper poles or not, there would be quite a set of bragging rights inherited along with the purchase of the house - if you can afford the hefty price tag.
