2008 Spirit Awards Red Carpet Fashion

Acting as a worthy preamble to tomorrow night’s Academy Awards, the 2008 Film Independent’s Spirit Awards got underway at Santa Monica Beach on Saturday (February 23).

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Angelina Jolie stole the spotlight - with her baby bump on full display. But there was plenty more star power to hit the red carpet worth mentioning.

Cate Blanchett joined Jolie in the baby-on-the-way club, showing off her full figure as she offered up a smile for the cameras. Shortly thereafter, Eva Mendes hit the red carpet, fresh out of a rehab stint at the Cirque Lodge treatment facility.

Also making appearances were stars like Sienna Miller and Ellen Page - both hoping to take home a little hardware, as well as Lisa Kudrow, Marisa Tomei and many more.
