I think the ads are both racy and smart, but I worry that it takes the focus from the skills of the actors, who are VERY good at what they do. Shouldn’t the emphasis be on them? Or is that hopelessly naive? I work for BBC America, and right now we’re promoting a British show called “Skins” that’s debuting over here August 17th at 9 p.m. It’s awesome because it’s not just well-written but as with Gossip Girl the casting is just perfect. It deals with a lot of similar themes to Gossip Girl, and I highly recommend you check it out! You can learn more about the show and watch some clips and cast interviews at http://www.bbcamerica.com/skins.
I hope I’m not overstepping my bounds by posting this comment, I’m just trying to get the word out
