Victoria Beckham Stages Fake Police Stop… We Think

Pictures of Victoria Beckham getting pulled over and ticketed on Tuesday by the Beverly Hills PD have recently surfaced, and the quality of the shots has us thinking that it might just be a hoax to get some attention before the launch of her new reality TV show.

According to The Daily Mail, “The star has had a run in with the law on the streets of Los Angeles, where she was pulled over outside a Hollywood shopping complex by a Beverly Hills officer, who ran checks on her British driver’s license.”

David Beckham’s US Move: Bittersweet

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that David Beckham is planning to move to the United States this summer to take on the role of pumping up soccer in America.  He’ll be joining the Los Angeles Galaxy in hopes of making the sport into the phenomena that it is everywhere else in the world.  But the move is bittersweet.

The stylish soccer stud will clearly miss the camaraderie he shares with his Real Madrid teammates. Roberto Carlos, Mahamadou Diarra and Fernando Gago, were spotted joking with Beckham at a recent car event in the Spanish capital. And last week David joined some of his closest friends from the team for a gathering at one of his favorite restaurants.  They presented him with an engraved silver tray and told him that he’d always have a home in Madrid.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been in the market for a new home ever since the birth of their daughter, Suri Cruise.  Unfortunately, there has been nothing for sale that the celebrity couple felt they could call home.  So, instead of continuing to look at other homes for sale, Cruise decided to make an offer on a place that wasn’t even up for sale.

Cruise, who has been renting for the past four years, paid an estimated $35 million for the family’s new estate.  This offer was in such excess of the market price that the current owners had no choice but to sell their home to the Hollywood superstar couple. 

David Beckham’s Birthday Payback

Not too long ago, David Beckham surprised his wife, Victoria Beckham, with an extravagant birthday full of shopping, dinner and a hotel stay in Paris. The former Spice Girl repaid the favor, whisking her soccer star husband to London for a $40,000 shopping spree and an extravagant birthday dinner on Wednesday night.

Victoria took her hubby by surprise, splashing out $32,000 on a private jet to fly him from Madrid to the capital city to celebrate his 32nd birthday in style.

The Beckham’s New $22 Million LA Mansion

Despite recent feuding, the Beckhams are moving in down the street from Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. After viewing more than 30 properties in Beverly Hills, Victoria and David finally settled on a six-bedroom “trophy estate”, priced at $22 million.

According to Hello! magazine, “Set in a 13,000-square-foot plot, the Italian-style mansion will be Victoria and David’s base when the Real Madrid player moves to LA Galaxy. The modern interior features a mixture of hardwood and slate floors with six fireplaces and full air-conditioning. And there should be no squabbles about who gets to use the shower first - the house has nine bathrooms.”
