Tuesday, June 16, 2009 Sacha Baron Cohen Premieres “Bruno” in France
Ever since he hit the feature film world with his 2006 opus “Borat,” Sacha Baron Cohen has been a major comedic force in American pop culture. And last night he gave the folks in France a peek at his latest project “Bruno.” The “Ali G” funnyman showed up at the Paris premiere looking every bit as flamboyant as his character in the film, posing with several scantily clad friends. posted by at 07:34 AM | (0) comments |

Always the consummate funnyman, Sacha Baron Cohen showed up at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards in yet another shocking getup. The “Borat” comic donned an all-leopard-print ensemble including a pair of briefs, a skintight top, fedora, and furry boots as his alter-ego Bruno.

Gay cowboys displaying physical affection, and a fictitious reporter/hack from Kazakhstan are just a few to name who have suffered human rights abuses in 2006. “Brokeback Mountain” and “Borat” may be the most notorious two, but there are many other within the entertainment industry that have grown accustomed to having some of the content that is produced banned or restricted by foreign governments.
In the Washington Post, a source from the State Department was quoted as saying, “foreign governments banned or restricted access to a variety of big and little screen entertainment as well as live events”.

permalink Saturday, October 28, 2006 First Came Ali G, then Borat.. is Bruno Next?
With all of the Borat headlines these days, I thought it might be fun to have a look back at Sacha Baron Cohen’s first character, Ali G. Remember Ali G? Here’s a funny video of Ali G. with David and Victoria Beckham for Comic Relief. It’s nice to see Posh smiling.
What’s next? Well there’s supposedly a bidding war going on over the next character, Bruno.. the gay fashionista from Austria. You can see a clip of him below during a visit to Daytona Beach, Florida for spring break. Let’s just say that when they find out he’s a reporter for a gay Austrian TV show that they all get a little pi$$ed off.

Elena comments on: Adam Lambert Lands at LAX, Turns Down Guy Kiss Why didn’t Kris’ album sell more (actually, the number was around 80,000)? Unfortunately, I think some people who voted for Kris weren’t so much voting for him as much as they were voting AGAINST Adam. I also don’t think TPTB at AI promoted him as much as Adam who has always been in the news since the finale. It’s too bad, really. Kris is such a nice, humble guy. He deserves better. Coffsee comments on: Adam Lambert Lands at LAX, Turns Down Guy Kiss The reason Adam Lambert’s album is selling so well - he has fans and talent.
The reason the “winner’s” album is not selling? Apparently Arkansas was willing to vote over and over and over and over for him because he was born there. But, they truly don’t like his music and are not purchasing his records. It was a false win. The album sales prove it. End.Of.Story. I truly suggest that you point your head in whatever book you receive your spiritual teachings from and draw from its most positive and inspiring teachings and spread THAT around, instead of consciously trolling sites for content that offends you and then offending everyone else with with your “hate speech”! You gotta ask yourself, “WWJD”? |
