Double Dose of Rihanna at MTV VMAs

Christmas came early this year as the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards had not one but two amazing performances by Rihanna last night.

The “Umbrella” singer performed the first song of the night, leading off with a fantastic rendition of her hit “Disturbia,” accompanied by a team of backup dancers.

She’s up for the Best Female Video award at the 2008 MTV Video Music awards tonight, and it’s going to be a big night for Rihanna. 

The “Take A Bow” songstress arrived ready to get the paparazzi attention in a strapless black-top-with-brushed-gold-bottom dress and a sassy short hairdo with a hint of blonde accent.

Finished up with her Fashion Rocks duties, Rihanna made her way from New York City to Los Angeles on Saturday (September 6) for the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

The “Umbrella” songstress was spotted arriving to big hugs at LAX Airport, with her rumored boyfriend Chris Brown arriving at the same time - but keeping his distance so that the two couldn’t be photographed together.

Fashion Rocks Brings Out the Stars

While New York City has always been a great spot for celebrity sightings, the streets outside of Radio City Music Hall today were a paparazzo’s dream.  And it was all thanks to the Conde Nast Media Group’s 5th Annual Fashion Rocks event.

Hosted by Dennis Leary, Fashion Rocks included some of the biggest names in entertainment including Beyonce Knowles, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, and Justin Timberlake.

Stand Up To Cancer Stars Take the Stage

Thirteen of the most talented female performers joined together onstage at Fashion Rocks to sing “Just Stand Up!”, which is the worldwide charity single benefiting Stand Up To Cancer.

The song was created and produced by LA Reid and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, who took the stage alongside singing sensations including: Beyonce Knowles, Mary J Blige, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Keyshia Cole, Leona Lewis, Fergie, Ciara, Mariah Carey, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield and Nicole Scherzinger at Radio City Music Hall on Friday (September 5).
