When celebrities strike stardom at a young age, they’re forced to turn into adults overnight, or risk becoming washed-out stars. And being a celebrity at any age requires operating in the cutthroat world of the entertainment industry. So far, Rihanna has managed to succeed in both regards, but admits that she is desperate to hang out with people her own age. The Umbrella hitmaker recently told Bliss magazine: “I do miss being around people my own age. That’s why it’s so great when I get to see my best friend. She is at a university studying law and economics, but when she has a break I fly her over to see me and we have an amazing time. As reported previously by the Gossip Girls, the series of Live Earth concerts across seven continents got started off with a bang yesterday (July 7). Just 24 hours later, the global party has come to an end - but the hope is that the event’s message will live on for quite some time to come. Live Earth was organized by former Vice President Al Gore with the goal of raising awareness about global warming. The 2007 version of Live Earth concerts kicked off on Saturday (July 7) in an attempt to persuade governments and citizens to go green. And Rihanna and Shakira were among the acts performing in nine cities around the world.
