Hilary Duff Blasts Lip Synching Rumors

During her concert in Mexico this past weekend, Hilary Duff experienced what appeared to be an Ashlee Simpson-type moment onstage.  But her peeps are saying it wasn’t lip synching.

The “Our Lips Are Sealed” singer’s rep told press, “She was not lip-synching.  It was faulty equipment. There was no sound coming out, but she was singing.”

Alicia Keys Plays For Causes Close to Her Heart

For all of you Alicia Keys fans out there, November is a big month.  Back on the 13th, she released her new album “As I Am” and this week she ‘s played at The Early Show and the WGA strike.

The “Falling” singer told interviewer Hannah Storm that the songs from her new album came from a newfound confidence.  “There has been an overall feeling that I’ve come into my own. That’s why I named this album: ‘As I Am’ because this is really who I am.”

Chocolate Rain Makes Jimmy Kimmel Premiere

If you’re internet savvy at all, you’re hip to the YouTube site.  And one video has really stood out among its peers.  It’s called “Chocolate Rain.”

The composer of the silly song is named Tay Zonday, and he’s garnered quite a bit of attention for his gibberish stylings.  He told late night host Jimmy Kimmel, “You just put something silly on YouTube and it gets lot of attention.”

It’s MTV Video Music Award Time!

As the Fall season approaches us, and back to school sales begin, the familiar sound of the MTV Video Music Awards is in the air.  And Justin Timberlake and Beyonce Knowles are at the front of the nomination pack.

Both pop singers have seven nominations each, the network announced yesterday on Total Request Live.  Along with JT and the Bootylicious girl, Amy Winehouse, Kanye West, and Rihanna are all up for the Video of the Year award.
