The latest rumors are claiming that Britney Spears may pick up Joe Simpson to be her new manager. The father of Ashlee and Jessica Simpson, whom Ashlee has called “a wonderful man,” may be just what Britney needs to kick-start her comeback tour.

According to an inside source for the NY Daily News, “Joe Simpson is considering managing Spears’ career, or what’s left of it, just as he has done for Jessica and her sister, Ashlee.”

Death Threat: Hilary Duff’s Canadian Scare

There’s something about Hilary Duff that attracts the crazy-stalker type fan. Just yesterday (April 24), Duff was being interviewed by MuchMusic in Toronto when a psychotic looking man vowed to kill her. 

According to reports from the incident, police officers rushed to the scene, pummeling the fellow who allegedly threatened to kill the pop star during her appearance on the Canadian TV show.

Willie Nelson Walks Free From Pot Charges

Willie Nelson breathed a big sigh of relief in a courtroom yesterday, as he and his tour manager were spared jail time after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor count of marijuana possession.

According to CBS reports, “Nelson and tour manager David Anderson, along with Nelson’s sister, Bobbie Nelson, and two drivers, were issued citations on September 18 after state troopers said they found marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms on the country legend’s tour bus during a commercial-vehicle inspection on Interstate 10.”

Rumors ranging everywhere from ”Britney Spears is going to become a stay-at-home mom” to a possible “Britney and Sanjaya duet” have been dominating gossip headlines lately. Trying not to get caught up in all of the hoopla, Britney has kept busy shopping and hitting up her favorite tanning booth.

The first rumor started with a source for X17 stating, ““Britney said that Sean and Jayden are the loves of her life and that she enjoys every moment with her kids. Britney even talked about being a stay-at-home mom, saying that she loves it and that because of her boys, she’s not looking forward to going back to work!”
