Jessica Alba Challenges Authority, Gets Pulled Over

No, the picture above is not from a movie set. On the heels of an interview about challenging authority, Jessica Alba proved to be a woman of her word.

“I love challenging authority,” the 26-year-old actress told InStyle in its June issue, on newsstands this Friday (May 25). “It probably wasn’t easy being my parents. The second somebody says ‘no’ to me is the second I’m going to jump up and say ‘yes!’”

As celebrities get older, they tend to get more family-minded.  And that’s the case for Keith Urban.  The 39-year-old Aussie country rocker has conquered the American country music world and now his sights are on makin’ babies!

“I’m really looking forward to becoming a dad. Next year actually would be lovely,” Urban told AP reporters.  The reason for a 2008 baby is probably the couple’s insane schedule. Nicole Kidman is currently shooting a new film in Australia (also titled Australia), while Keith remains in the US touring non-stop.  “I tour for two weeks then fly to Sydney for a week, then go back on the road. It’s not really too hard going back and forth. Its either that or I don’t tour this year. It’s what I do.”

Cameron Diaz and Shrek Head Down Under

Cameron Diaz took to the red carpet in Sydney on Tuesday (May 22). There to promote her new movie, Shrek The Third, Diaz was accompanied by her on-screen husband, the much-loved green ogre himself, and the head honcho at DreamWorks SKG, Jeffrey Katzenberg.

“It’s fantastic, we couldn’t be more happy,” Diaz told reporters of the film’s record-setting box-office opening. It was the biggest first weekend takings for an animated feature film and has earned the third highest opening weekend income for any film - when it brought in a cool $122 million.

Angelina Jolie Hits Cannes For A Mighty Heart

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt attended the premiere of her latest film “A Mighty Heart” at the Cannes Film Festival on Monday (May 21).  In the film, Angelina portrays Mariane Pearl, the widow of Daniel Pearl, a Wall Street Journal newspaper reporter who was abducted and murdered in 2002. Pitt was a co-producer of the film.

Speaking about the film, Jolie has expressed the scene in which she reenacts Mariane receiving the news of Daniel’s death as being “the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” Mariane Pearl was over five-months pregnant when Daniel was kidnapped. Her son Adam was born just a few months after Daniel was killed.

Taurus Stunt Awards: Simply Fantastic!

Another day, another celebrity awards night. The stars were out at this year’s Taurus World Stunt Awards on the Paramount Pictures lot last night (May 20). Not the most glamorous of professions - this night was all about the stuntmen… sort of.

Celebrities and VIP’s in attendance - many making appearances on stage - included Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, Elisha Cuthbert, Kelly Hu, Ali Larter, Christina Milian, Shaun White - among many more.
