Eva Mendes Bans Father

There’s been a lot of buzz about the upcoming film “We Own the Night,” and much of that is due to the steamy sex scene between Eva Mendes and Joaquin Phoenix.  But Eva is banning her father from seeing it.

Eva, a former aspiring nun and Catholic schoolgirl, has cited her upbringing for her shyness on screen.  She even had to have a few cocktails before filming the nudity-laden sequence.

No Caribbean Wedding For Mandy Moore

When it comes to dream weddings, it’s hard to beat getting married on a beach at sunset.  But Mandy Moore has said “no thanks” to a romantic Caribbean ceremony.

During the filming of “License To Wed,” Mandy realized that her lifelong dream of getting married on an island beach was more of a nightmare.  The humidity and heat caused her to scrap any plans of a future wedding in the Caribbean outdoors.

Uma Thurman Says Cheers To Change

It seems golden globe winner Uma Thurman is all about change. 

Uma recently signed on to play a lead role in HBO’s upcoming film, “The Zinc Bed,” which is an adaptation of acclaimed playwright David Hare’s drama that debuted in London in 2000.  The movie is likely to premiere in 2008 and is being directed by Anthony Page.

Penelope Cruz Clubs It Up On Hiatus

Taking a break from the set, Penelope Cruz was the center of attention wherever she went on Saturday night (June 23). Dressed a bright yellow ensemble, Penelope tracked from place to place, making stops at a Prince concert and the “Bombay Sapphire Dinner for Pharrell Williams in Celebration of the Los Angeles Film Festival.”

According to an insider, “A lot of celebrities and Hollywood big wigs came out to Mr. Chow on Saturday for good food, good drinks and good company, including Penelope Cruz, P. Diddy, Johnny Knoxville, and a host of other familiar faces.” And while her latest gal pal Shakira was nowhere to be seen, Miss Cruz was spotted with another gorgeous young lady in arm as she arrived at Hollywood hotspot Teddy’s to cap off the evening. 

Demi Moore: Pregnant Or Bloated?

There has been growing speculation that at 44 years-young, Demi Moore is pregnant with Ashton Kutcher’s first biological child. The suggestion, based on Demi “showing off her bump at a film premiere in New York,” has also been aided by the couple’s recent talks of wanting a bigger family.

The “baby bump” sighting occurred at the Radio City Music Hall showing of Live Free Or Die Hard on Friday night (June 22). The couple attended in support of Demi’s ex Bruce Willis, who reprises his role as Detective John McClane in the fourth of the Die Hard action movies.
