Kate Winslet Wins Diet Story Libel Damages

Known for her disdain towards Hollywood’s apparent obsession with being skinny, British actress Kate Winslet has won a public apology and undisclosed libel damages from a magazine over a false report claiming that she visited a diet doctor.

Winslet’s lawyer, Rachel Atkins, told the High Court in London on Friday that the article in Grazia magazine was incorrect in reporting that Winslet discussed weight-related treatments at the Chinese Healing Institute in California.
