Celebrity Mothers Set The Bar High

It can be intimidating for new mothers these days.  In addition to the whole new world of taking care of a newborn and maintaining a family, there is this emerging phenomenon of “have it all” mothers in Hollywood.  Every time you turn on the television or hop on the Internet there are constant images of celebrity children (both biological and adopted) alongside their enormously successful movie star moms.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Angelina Jolie, Katie Holmes and Gwen Stefani top the list of celeb mommies that appear to have paired career success with motherhood. On the other side of that coin are experts that say that such a perception is unrealistic. 

Gwen Stefani’s 27 Year Diet

With so much focus on size 0 models and the “skinny debate,” it’s fitting that Gwen Stefani opened up about the fact that she’s been dieting since she was only 10 years old.

In the interview, Gwen said: “I’ve always been on a diet, ever since I was in the sixth grade. It’s an ongoing battle and it’s a nightmare. But I like clothes too much, and I always wanted to wear the outfits I would make. And I’m very vain.”

Gwen Stefani Planning For Second Baby

Gwen Stefani has recently revealed that she and rocker husband Gavin Rossdale are planning their second child together.

The pop star plans to take baby Kingston on the road with her when she tours this year, and if motherhood continues to be a blessing for her, she hopes to add to her family, informs the Post Chronicle.

During an interview aired on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Gwen spoke of having a second child by saying, “It’s already on the itinerary… I’m ready to go.”

Stefani Wants Son To Marry Jolie’s Daughter

In a recent interview, Gwen Stefani casually stated that she wouldn’t mind seeing her son Kingston marry Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh. When they grow up, that is. 

Gwen and Angelina are close friends and their children have been on several playdates together.... sparking hopes of a future romance.

Gwen told Elle magazine: “Kingston and Shiloh play together. They were like two little blobs when they met. Maybe they’ll get married when they grow up? That’d be cute!”
