Katherine Heigl: Decorator At Heart

Newlywed Katherine Heigl spent nearly all day Saturday shopping for home furnishings in Hollywood with her mother/personal manager, Nancy.

The Grey’s Anatomy star visited stores offering interior decor, furniture and carpet, where she ended up purchasing a large rug. Walking out, the Emmy award winning actress held a folder of carpet samples and showed off her wedding ring.

She’s made it through the first few weeks of wedded bliss, and Katherine Heigl is still looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.  The new bride was spotted out doing a little furniture shopping on Robertson Boulevard in West Hollywood yesterday with her mother.

But one piece of furniture she probably wasn’t looking for was a baby crib.  Despite reports that the “Ringer” actress was keen to have children soon, her new hubby Josh reportedly doesn’t want kids for awhile.

While most of us were running around, doing some last-minute Christmas shopping yesterday, Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley were busy getting married!

The wedding, which took place in Park City, Utah, was a small, intimate affair.  According to reports, Heigl’s “Grey’s Anatomy” co-stars T.R. Knight and Sandra Oh, as well as “Private Practice” star Kate Walsh and her husband Alex Young witnessed the nuptials.

Katherine Heigl’s Pre-Wedding Excitement

She’s getting married this weekend, and Katherine Heigl is letting the world know how happy she is about becoming Mrs. Josh Kelly.

The “Grey’s Anatomy” actress took awhile to warm-up to the idea of a winter wedding, though.  She told press, “I kind of love it.  It wasn’t my original idea. I originally wanted a more fall wedding back east, but I’ve end up really falling in love with the idea. I think it’s going to be super romantic.”

Katherine Heigl’s Ready To Tie the Knot

For those of you who have gone through the process of planning your wedding, it can get tedious and seem never-ending.  And Katherine Heigl can relate.  She says she’s ready to be done planning, and just enjoy her big day.

The Grey’s Anatomy actress told press, “We’ve talked a lot about it, like, ‘Are you having any second thoughts here?’ And he’s like, ‘No, I’m so ready for this to happen.’ It’s already been 18 months of planning, and we’re both just ready for this to happen already.”
