Nicole Richie Preps For Joel’s 29th Birthday

It’s Joel Madden’s 29th birthday on Tuesday, and Nicole Richie was out stopping by a party store in LA to pick some balloons and party favors for the special occasion.

Besides planning out Joel’s 29th, the former Simple Life star has been all tied up with the duties of tending to her baby daughter Harlow Madden.

Joel Madden is helping to prove that chivalry isn’t dead, as he was spotted helping his baby-mama Nicole Richie into their SUV while leaving their house in Glendale on Tuesday (March 4).

Nicole, who gave birth less than two months ago to daughter Harlow Winter, is already back to her thin self - possibly in part to the fact that she’s been eating “very bland food” due to breast-feeding duties.

He’s known as the tough rock and roll frontman of Good Charlotte.  But since becoming a father, Joel Madden has softened up a bit.

The “Anthem” singer recently told press his daughter Harlow Winter is “definitely a mama’s girl.  Right now she needs mom because all she does is eat. I have a feeling that when she starts talking she’s going to be a daddy’s girl.”

Back on January 11th of this year, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden welcomed their new baby daughter Harlow Winter into this world.  And only weeks later, they’re welcoming their first public spat as parents.

Reportedly the dispute is over the issue of who will be Harlow’s godmother.  The Simple Life starlet is pulling for Paris Hilton to fill the role, while the Good Charlotte rocker has his hopes set on Sophie Monk, his twin brother Benji’s fiancé.
