Monday, March 13, 2006 Jennifer Aniston has been voted the most unlucky in love celebrity. The former ‘Friends’ actress, who was ditched by husband Brad Pitt so he could romance Angelina Jolie, has topped a poll to find the star Cupid has smiled upon the least. Aniston beat long-term UK singleton Robbie Williams to the unwanted title, Nicole Kidman - whose ex-husband Tom Cruise is now engaged to the pregnant Katie Holmes - was named fourth, while British TV star Billie Piper rounded off the top five. Other heartbroken stars to make the top ten, include Renee Zellweger - whose marriage to country singer Kenny Chesney lasted just four months - Kate Moss, who can count Pete Doherty and Johnny Depp among her exes and Julia Roberts, who dumped ‘24’ star Kiefer Sutherland just before their wedding in 1991 after discovering he had cheated on her with a stripper. The unhappy poll was conducted by internet gift site thedoghouse.co.uk

permalink Sunday, February 06, 2005 J.Lo’s Pink Diamond from Ben Affleck is for sale! New York jeweler Harry Winston has reacquired the 6.1 carat pink diamond ring he created for Jennifer Lopez?s engagement to Ben Affleck, People magazine reported February 4. Harry Winston spokeswoman Carol Brodie confirmed to Reuters that the ring was back with the jeweler and up for resale, but would not comment on who had returned it. She said the price was only available to ?serious buyers.? While the ring fueled consumer demand for pink naturals, it did nothing for the couple?s relationship which ended last year. posted by Isabella at 10:12 PM | (0) comments |
permalink Thursday, February 03, 2005 J. Lo, Marc Anthony To Make First Live Performance Together At Grammys Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have shied away from talking about their marriage, but they’re about to take center stage at the Grammy Awards later this month, where they’ll perform live together for the first time. Although the Recording Academy did not announce which song Lopez and her third husband will perform, the tune could be one slated for one of Lopez’s two upcoming albums. The pair teamed up in the studio initially to record tracks for her forthcoming Spanish-language album, but then did a few songs together for her English-language album, Rebirth, which is out March 1. One of those tracks, “You Got Me,” is about their relationship, according to producer Rodney Jerkins (see “Jennifer Lopez Not Talking About Her Marriage, But Rodney Jerkins Is"). It’s also possible that the couple could sing “Escapnos,” from the film “Shall We Dance”, which appears on two Anthony albums, Amar Sin Mentiras (which is nominated for Best Latin Pop Album) and Valio la Pena (which received a nod for Best Salsa Merengue Album). Working with Anthony, Lopez said recently, didn’t feel like work at all. “It just started flowing and we just had these incredible songs,” she recalled. “We just kept going, kept with the flow, and it was really an incredible, growing process. Marc’s kind of created the sound and found the music, and then I bring to it what I bring to it, my own passion. The thing about music, when it happens in the right way: It’s the right song with the right artist with the right sound at the right time, and we have that going on right now.” [via MTV News] posted by Isabella at 02:31 PM | (0) comments |
permalink Wednesday, February 02, 2005 You just know they’ll be calling her Jenny from the Tents. Olympus Fashion Week, underway Friday in Bryant Park, will conclude Feb. 11 with a kick-your-neighbor’s-shins-to-get-in media circus: the debut runway collection of an upscale contemporary line called Sweetface, from Jennifer Lopez. Will Lopez’s fall hodgepodge of cashmere sweaters and houndstooth slacks put her on equal footing with Sean Combs, who five years ago used Fashion Week to catapult Sean John into the stratosphere? “Let’s answer that after Jennifer’s show comes down the runway,” says Fern Mallis, executive director of 7th on Sixth, organizers of the semiannual midtown glamazon-fest. All the NFL is doing is pandering to the femnazi mentality and have a woman be as popular as Hank Jr., which will happen when an athlete gets paid what he’s worth! I wish the whole country would bag s**t like Title IX and Affirmative Action and hire based on ABILITY alone.
