Jennifer Hudson Covergirl For Historic ‘Vogue’ Issue

On an uplifting note, Jennifer Hudson is set to make Vogue history by becoming the first black singer to ever appear on the magazine’s cover.

Meanwhile, the 25 year old Hudson will become only the third black woman to ever grace the cover of the highly esteemed fashion magazine. She follows in the footsteps of talk show mega-star Oprah Winfrey and Academy Award winning actress, Halle Berry.

The Chicago-born Hudson, who plays Effie White in the box-office hit, Dreamgirls, alongside Beyonce, was photographed by Annie Leibovitz in New York City’s Harlem theatre.

Grammy Party Scoop: Beyonce, Scarlett Johansson & More

With the Grammy’s comes gossip. The following is a rundown of some of the more interesting stories to develop throughout the evening of after-parties.

It seems as if Beyonce is a bit worried about the competition and her hold on the market. Many feel that this led her to snub Jennifer Hudson after the Grammys.

A source from the NY Daily News said that “Beyoncé’s handlers did not want Hudson’s name on the guest list for a party she threw with People magazine at Eleven in West Hollywood.”

Why didn’t Kris’ album sell more (actually, the number was around 80,000)? Unfortunately, I think some people who voted for Kris weren’t so much voting for him as much as they were voting AGAINST Adam. I also don’t think TPTB at AI promoted him as much as Adam who has always been in the news since the finale. It’s too bad, really. Kris is such a nice, humble guy. He deserves better.
