Hilary Swank Makes The Cut

We always hear of celebrities donating oodles of money or gifts to charity.  But Hilary Swank is helping out with something a little more “home grown.”

The Boys Don’t Cry actress is growing her hair out in order to donate it to make a wig for a cancer patient.  “It’s wonderful to know that my hair is going to help someone feel better through the process of getting treatment. It’s growing and hopefully I can get a little more length so I can get a nice ponytail to donate.”

Hilary Swank has been enjoying a romantic vacation with her agent boyfriend John Campisi. The couple were spotted cuddling up near the pool of their Italian resort on July 9.

The Oscar winning actress has been dating Campisi since late last year in a relationship that has stayed out of the limelight by choice.

Hilary Swank’s Blue Planet Run

It is good to see so many celebrities using their influence to help less fortunate people around the globe. We have the famous adoption trend that has been recently gaining popularity. And now Hilary Swank is weighing in with a run for water.

Swank’s event, called Blue Planet Run, kicked off yesterday (Friday) in an effort to raise awareness of the 1.1 billion people in the world who lack access to clean water. BPR includes 20 runners who will cover 15,200 miles in the next 95 days, each covering 10 miles at a time.
