Sunday, June 10, 2007 Gwyneth Paltrow’s A Bad Tipper, Maddona Worse
Being blessed with great proportions of wealth, some celebrities are known to leave BIG tips for waiters and waitresses to thank them for their service. Apparently, that isn’t the case for Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna and a slew of other Hollywood A-listers. Or so says Katherine Taylor’s new book ‘Rules for Saying Goodbye,’ in which her heroine of the same name is a barmaid. posted by Kayla at 03:12 PM | (0) comments |

No, Chris Martin hasn’t gained a lot of weight and grown a beard. Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted out Thursday night laying a smooch on another lucky fellow while picking up some food in LA. Happy to be back in in the States while filming her new movie ‘Iron Man’, Gwyneth made a dash from her Santa Monica childhood home - which she’s currently renting - over to local pasta joint Mozza for some carryout. posted by Kayla at 06:16 PM | (0) comments |

There’s just something about your first house; the place in which you grew up, played Legos, watched your famous parents party with celebs…? Yeah, for Gwyneth Paltrow, her childhood home is so appealing, she’s renting it while she films her new movie.
The Oscar-winning actress almost completely lost it when her mom sold the house, located in Santa Monica, for almost $9 million. According to US Weekly, “Gwyneth couldn’t talk about it. She was very upset.” She lived there until she was 11 years old, and it evidently held some important memories.

It can be intimidating for new mothers these days. In addition to the whole new world of taking care of a newborn and maintaining a family, there is this emerging phenomenon of “have it all” mothers in Hollywood. Every time you turn on the television or hop on the Internet there are constant images of celebrity children (both biological and adopted) alongside their enormously successful movie star moms. Gwyneth Paltrow, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Angelina Jolie, Katie Holmes and Gwen Stefani top the list of celeb mommies that appear to have paired career success with motherhood. On the other side of that coin are experts that say that such a perception is unrealistic. posted by Kayla at 02:08 PM | (0) comments |

Gwyneth Paltrow has been out of the spotlight for some time now, but made a glamorous reemergence at the Academy Awards on Sunday. In a recent interview with Oprah, Gwyneth opened up about her current situation and what to expect in the future. While conversing with talkshow host Oprah Winfrey, the Oscar-winning actress said that being a housewife is “amazing”. Gwyneth married Coldplay singer Chris Martin in 2003 and has had two children since, Apple, 3, and Moses, 10 months. posted by at 11:13 PM | (0) comments |

Where can I get Halle’s? Does anyone know? Walker comments on: Reese Witherspoon Fights Domestic Violence in the UK Good for her. I feel like domestic violence is the red-headed step-child of violence issues. It’s easy to speak out against government-induced famine, or wars that kill civilians, or rape. But domestic violence is a very sensitive issue because it is so common! I’m glad Reese is getting people talking. Another voice brave enough to speak on domestic violence is that of Marala Scott, author of the book, “In Our House: Perception vs. Reality.” She is specifically interested in the “Indicators of an Abuser,” a tool she developed to help people recognize patterns in others (or in themselves) that might signify abusive tendencies in the future. Really fascinating stuff, that - you can see them here. Keep up the good work, Reese!
