While most of the action was going on over at the Kodak Theatre last night (Sunday), Elton John was throwing a little shindig of his own. And stars like Sean Penn and Petra Nemcova were all about showing some love.

For the past fifteen years, the “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” singer has held an AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party, and in the process raised over $15 million for charity.

Sir Elton John’s Birthday Bash At MSG

Sir Elton John is making the final preparations for a sold-out show tonight (March 25) at Madison Square Garden. This isn’t your everyday concert, though, as the pop legend will be celebrating his 60th birthday with his record-setting 60th MSG performance.

Born as Reg Dwight in London on March 25, 1947, Elton has long been a crowd favorite at the coveted venue.

“There are very few artists that could even think of setting a record like this, let alone achieve it,” said Jay Marciano, president of MSG Entertainment.

Liz Hurley’s Best Man: Sir Elton John

After hosting one of the hotter Oscar after-parties around, Sir Elton John flew off to England and walked Elizabeth Hurley down the aisle for her church blessing with new husband Arun Natay on Saturday.

Hurley, 41, tied the knot with Indian businessman Nayar, 43, in a private and unannounced civil ceremony at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire, England, on Friday, the day before celebrating with their elite group of friends the following day.
