The shindig was being thrown by Fox Searchlight Pictures for Oscar and Independent Spirit Awards nominees. She nabbed a trophy at the National Board of Review Awards last night, and given all the success of her film “Juno,” Ellen Page’s career really seems to be taking off. The 20-year-old actress is set to star in a roller-derby film titled “Whip It!” directed by none other than Drew Barrymore. It’s that all-important night when the infamous Hollywood critics get their chance to make their voices heard. And the Critics’ Choice Awards (held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium last night) was marked with great-looking celebrities and even greater recognition of some amazing work. Everyone’s favorite Scientolo-wife Katie Holmes was rocking her bangy-hairdo atop an interesting off-shoulder, burlap sack-looking dress.
