Back in the 1990’s, Claire Danes was the poster child for social outcasts on her show “My So-Called Life.” And after her appearance at yesterday’s Motion Picture Club Awards, she may be the face of the fashionably challenged. The “Romeo and Juliet” actress was seen wearing an outfit that would quite possibly make a homeless woman turn her head and offer Danes a garment of her own.

permalink Friday, August 10, 2007 Claire Danes: Fairytales Meet Reality
Once again, Claire Danes has been able to take a complex character study and reduce all of the issues to their most basic elements. In her recent role in Stardust, directed by Matthew Vaughn, Claire plays a fairytale star come to life and cast down to Earth. Stardust is about the journey that Claire’s character takes as she is forced to tackle several real life issues while on the run with a handsome prince (It’s Hollywood). Central to the story is how Danes’ character deals with: adolescence, adulthood, trust and independence. posted by Kayla at 12:47 PM | (0) comments |

Last night under the glittering lights of Los Angeles, a bevy of beautiful stars were in attendance for the premiere of Stardust, which opens across the country on August 10th. And in a town that prides itself on being at the cutting edge of beauty and youth, this movie highlighted the success that aging stars such as Michelle Pfeiffer have been able to achieve while bucking the trend. The Dangerous Minds actress’ role encompasses an old witch preying on the youth to steal their inner power, with co-star Claire Danes playing the perfect foil. Transforming Pfeiffer from star to hag was a four hour process that included wigs, cosmetics, prosthetics, and fake liver spots. posted by at 07:40 PM | (0) comments |

monika comments on: Adam Lambert Talks AMA Performance I liked Adam and I didn’t care a bit about him being gay at all...but using it in such a disgusting commercial way justs makes me wonder… is adam letting go witht he flow? (i mean the disgusting flow that carried away Lohan and many others) I appreciate him as a singer and I’m not narrow minded at all but i think he’s going too far.. people don’t need to be puked in the face with his already well-known sexual preference… and we didn’t care because we cared Adam as a singer and we appreciated him for his vocals so focus on that Adam! u don’t need to fall that low (like Britney and pals) , you are talented! so we don’t need to see oral sex scenes to pay attention to you… just do what you can do and it is singing!! for sexual stuff we have internet to search for tons of porn, just keep it outside from the arena please!! we still love you but correct your things please Jenna B comments on: Chris Weitz Unfazed by Bad “New Moon” Reviews The movie is boring and strickly for little kids.
