Beyonce and Jay-Z Finally File License

If there was ever any doubt that Beyonce and Jay-Z tied the knot a few weeks ago, it had been put to rest.  The newlyweds filed their marriage license this past Friday.

The paperwork, which lists their wedding date as April 4th, was officially filed with the Scarsdale Town Clerk, who says even though they waited past the usual 5-day requirement, there shouldn’t be a problem.

She’s been on the celebrity radar ever since she started dating Latino crooner Enrique Iglesias.  But Anna Kournikova says there won’t be a high-profile wedding in her future.

The Russian tennis babe told press, “I’m never getting married. Everything is good,” when she was asked if she’d be following fellow tennis star Andy Roddick to the altar.

It was a big night on Wednesday, as Ashlee Simpson announced that she’s engaged to her Fall Out Boy bassist boyfriend Pete Wentz.

Rumors began to fly earlier this week when Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z obtained a marriage license at Village Hall in Scarsdale, New York on Tuesday.  And now we know why they did- yesterday (4.4.08) the longtime couple finally got hitched.

While there’s no official confirmation yet, a friend of the couple spilled the beans to press about the intimate affair that took place yesterday. “It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family.”
