Jay-Z Jumps Ship, Beyonce Takes A Spill

In the recording industry, there’s always a deal to be made.  This time, it looks like Jay-Z is taking his star power from current label Island Def Jam to Columbia Records after Island made some interesting decisions.

Jay may feel a bit crowded after Jermaine Dupri was added to the executive level of Island’s urban music division earlier this year.  A source close to Jay told press, “There isn’t room for two kings at one label.  Why would Island bring in another power-hitter urban guy?”

Paparazzo Beaten After ESPY Party, Caught On Video

As reported earlier by the Gossip Girls, the ESPY Awards were held yesterday evening. While the event itself was considered a huge success, things turned sour at an after-party attended by Rumer Willis - ending in the beating of a paparazzo (caught on camera).

According to TMZ witnesses, “The fight began after two random jerks decided to act as Rumer Willis’ bodyguards as she made her way out of Skybar and then allegedly got violent with paparazzi.”

Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore Lend Support to Laura Day

If you’ve been in the self-help section of your local bookstore lately, you’ve seen Laura Day’s name all over the place.  And it seems Day has some famous friends… like Jennifer Aniston and Demi Moore.

Aniston and Moore, along with many other celebs were seen at a party to honor the author, held at One Sunset, a trendy LA restaurant.  Jen was sans Paul Sculfor for the event, and she wasn’t talking about it.

For all of you who were so excited about the possibility of a Lauren Conrad sex tape… disappointment seems inevitable. The latest reports indicate the homemade flick isn’t even going to hit porn store shelves.

Lauren, meanwhile, should be overjoyed seeing that she really didn’t seem like she wanted it to be released in the first place. Jason Wahler, however, didn’t mind, as long as he got a some cash to help out with his court fees.

Kim Kardashian, Ray J Sex Tape Release

For those of you who enjoy watching celebrities shag, Vivid Entertainment went ahead and released its hot new celebrity sex video that “stars” Kim Kardashian and best-selling R&B artist Ray J. The “homemade movie” launch marks the first ever “day and date” celebrity sex tape release in downloadable format.

Vivid had signed an exclusive deal with AllAdultChannel.com to provide full “Download to DVD” access to “Kim Kardashian Superstar,” starting on March 21st – the same day the movie went on sale in retail stores nationwide. This all comes despite a lawsuit against Vivid by Ms. Kardashian, which is still being pursued.
