Mandy Moore Goes Back to School

How cool would it be to have your favorite singer come to your school to hang out and do a concert?  Ask Nikelle Riggs.  She won a video competition and the grand prize was to have Mandy Moore come to her school.

The contest, titled “The Extraordinary High School Competition,” was put on by Photobucket. Participants were required to submit a “video remix” to one of Moore’s new songs. The video had to capture why the participant’s high school was so “extraordinary.”

Lindsay Lohan Crashes Car, Gets Arrested

Forgoing the advice of her family and friends to stop her partying ways, Lindsay Lohan has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving on Saturday after crashing her Mercedes convertible in Beverly Hills shortly before dawn.

The 20-year-old ‘Mean Girls’ star - who could face more charges - was slightly injured after she lost control of her car traveling west on Sunset Boulevard at about 5:30 a.m., Beverly Hills police told the Associated Press. Lindsay had two passengers in her two-seat Mercedes, both of whom were uninjured.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has no shame about his knowledge of Paris’ exploits on home video.  During a recent appearance on the Jay Leno Show he told the late night host, “I’ve heard from someone that she said somewhere she isn’t even a fan of mine and she has never seen any of my movies, I’ve seen all of hers.”

Curtains Come Early For Rosie O’Donnell

As a follow-up to the Elisabeth Hasselbeck story we ran yesterday, there have been some developments in the relationship between The View and Rosie O’Donnell. The outspoken co-host was scheduled to depart from the show on June 22nd, but now she will not return “after the Memorial Day weekend,” according to ABC’s website.

Regarding the early departure, Brian Frons, ABC’s daytime television group president, said that the decision was all Rosie. “We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave,” Mr. Frons said. “Therefore we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to ‘The View’ and wish her well.”
