New York’s East Village has long been the haven for the downtrodden artist, punk rocker, and dive club. But with CBGB’s closing recently, where can the average emo kid get a drink?  The answer is in the hands of Pete Wentz!

Fall Out Boy’s bassist/lyricist has joined forces with Gym Class Hero’s singer Travis McCoy and Yellow Fever clothing designer Jamison Ernest to open Angels and Kings.  Wentz reportedly wants his bar to be a “place for losers.”

The Beckham’s New $22 Million LA Mansion

Despite recent feuding, the Beckhams are moving in down the street from Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. After viewing more than 30 properties in Beverly Hills, Victoria and David finally settled on a six-bedroom “trophy estate”, priced at $22 million.

According to Hello! magazine, “Set in a 13,000-square-foot plot, the Italian-style mansion will be Victoria and David’s base when the Real Madrid player moves to LA Galaxy. The modern interior features a mixture of hardwood and slate floors with six fireplaces and full air-conditioning. And there should be no squabbles about who gets to use the shower first - the house has nine bathrooms.”

Neverland may be never more. It appears that after 2 years, there is finally interest in the estate once roamed by Michael Jackson and a host of other creatures.

According to Page Six reports, “the “King of Pop” quietly put the sprawling, 2,700-acre Santa Barbara estate on the market several years ago to help pay off $200 million in debt - but there were no takers for the tacky ranch until now.”

Brad Pitt’s Day-Care Yacht Buy

Brad Pitt was seen on the set of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in LA on Tuesday, but that’s not the story garnering headlines. It’s rumored that Pitt coughed up some big-time cash to pick up a mega-yacht.

PopSugar’s reporting that “Brad and Angelina have bough a yacht. Not just any luxury boat. This one is supposedly $140 million!!!”

Avril Lavigne Shills Out For $9.5 Million Mansion

Canadian pop singer Avril Lavigne and her rock-star husband have gone out and splurged on a $9.5 million home, worthy of making the newest episode of MTV’s Cribs. The new spot is located in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Bel-Air, The Los Angeles Times reports.

“The three-story mansion, which 22-year-old Lavigne will share with Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley, her husband of nine months, has eight bedrooms and 10½ bathrooms. Other amenities include an elevator, sauna and garage space for 10 cars,” the Times added.
