celebrity real estateMonday, May 07, 2007 TomKat Neighbors Up With the Beckham’s
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been in the market for a new home ever since the birth of their daughter, Suri Cruise. Unfortunately, there has been nothing for sale that the celebrity couple felt they could call home. So, instead of continuing to look at other homes for sale, Cruise decided to make an offer on a place that wasn’t even up for sale.
Cruise, who has been renting for the past four years, paid an estimated $35 million for the family’s new estate. This offer was in such excess of the market price that the current owners had no choice but to sell their home to the Hollywood superstar couple.

If you have ever wanted to live in Connecticut, now might be the time to act on your aspirations. That is, if you have $10 million to throw at some new digs. Back in 2003, rapper 50 Cent bought a 48,000 square foot estate for $4.1 million and tossed another $6 million into it over the past few years. He put in a helipad, and renovated the mansion top to bottom. posted by Kayla at 10:35 AM | (3) comments |

New York’s East Village has long been the haven for the downtrodden artist, punk rocker, and dive club. But with CBGB’s closing recently, where can the average emo kid get a drink? The answer is in the hands of Pete Wentz!
Fall Out Boy’s bassist/lyricist has joined forces with Gym Class Hero’s singer Travis McCoy and Yellow Fever clothing designer Jamison Ernest to open Angels and Kings. Wentz reportedly wants his bar to be a “place for losers.”

Despite recent feuding, the Beckhams are moving in down the street from Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. After viewing more than 30 properties in Beverly Hills, Victoria and David finally settled on a six-bedroom “trophy estate”, priced at $22 million. According to Hello! magazine, “Set in a 13,000-square-foot plot, the Italian-style mansion will be Victoria and David’s base when the Real Madrid player moves to LA Galaxy. The modern interior features a mixture of hardwood and slate floors with six fireplaces and full air-conditioning. And there should be no squabbles about who gets to use the shower first - the house has nine bathrooms.” posted by at 10:14 AM | (1) comments |

Neverland may be never more. It appears that after 2 years, there is finally interest in the estate once roamed by Michael Jackson and a host of other creatures. According to Page Six reports, “the “King of Pop” quietly put the sprawling, 2,700-acre Santa Barbara estate on the market several years ago to help pay off $200 million in debt - but there were no takers for the tacky ranch until now.” posted by Kayla at 01:41 PM | (0) comments |

Jo comments on: Halle Berry: Vampire Vixen I love Halle’s tshirt! Does anyone know where to find it? I just bought a swarovski encrusted tshirt at a Twilight convention and it rocks!
here’s where I got mine:
Where can I get Halle’s? Does anyone know? Walker comments on: Reese Witherspoon Fights Domestic Violence in the UK Good for her. I feel like domestic violence is the red-headed step-child of violence issues. It’s easy to speak out against government-induced famine, or wars that kill civilians, or rape. But domestic violence is a very sensitive issue because it is so common! I’m glad Reese is getting people talking. Another voice brave enough to speak on domestic violence is that of Marala Scott, author of the book, “In Our House: Perception vs. Reality.” She is specifically interested in the “Indicators of an Abuser,” a tool she developed to help people recognize patterns in others (or in themselves) that might signify abusive tendencies in the future. Really fascinating stuff, that - you can see them here. Keep up the good work, Reese! Douglas Harnett comments on: Lindsay Lohan: Seeing Kevin Connolly? linsay just needs to leave that loser kevin connolly and come to me with her sexy a** N.J. comments on: Adam Lambert: More Cancellations ABC is really showing their true colors right now… They invited Adam Lambert to do the closing numer on that awards show, they WANTED it to be racy and risky and announced the “Shocking” performance a dozen times throughout the show. And now that the’ve used him to garner ratings they throw him under the bus??? This has nothing to do with his performance, this is a witch hunt. Nothing else! And just because Adam Lambert is gay nobody dares to speak up… it’s disgusting.
These are not the “values” I want my children to learn, I will no longer allow them to watch ABC or any affiliated companies.
Evey comments on: Orlando Bloom: Vdara Hotel Hunk We’ve heard these same stories about this guy when he was seeing a past girlfriend. I wish you guys would try to use your imaginations and think up better stories. Next week you’ll be claiming Miranda is shopping for a wedding dress. And then that she and Orlando were looking at rings. Just like before. It’s so predictable, it’s boring. Anna comments on: Keira Knightley Continues Work on "The Misanthrope" I love this girl. She is so talented and gorgeous. I wish her all the best with the play, I’m sure she’ll be great! |
