If there’s one way to get guys to take notice and stop mass-consuming meat, it’s probably going to involve having Alicia Silverstone pose naked and plea on the behalf of animals.  And that’s just what she’s doing.

The Clueless star has taken a stand and joined PETA’s internet and television campaign to help stop people from eating animals.

Nicole Richie Shops, Cat Gets The Boot

While she undergoes the final months of her pregnancy, Nicole Richie has decided that her pet cat, which survived a fall from her 10th floor apartment balcony last year, just had to go.

Apparently, the smell of her furry friend makes the former Simple Life starlet and expectant mother sick to her stomach. As a result, Ms Richie’s famous tabby has ended up over at her singer father Lionel’s house.

Early Release Was A Surprise To Nicole Richie

While the Los Angeles County Jail is notorious for cutting celebrities a break, Nicole Richie was “pleasantly surprised” to get released just 82 minutes after she was booked.

Attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said, “Nicole was aware that most people with sentences similar to hers are booked and released in a matter of hours and she was hoping to be treated like everyone else.  Nevertheless, she was prepared to serve her entire four-day sentence had the Sheriff’s Department required her to do so.”

Nicole Richie Goes To Jail… For 82 Minutes

Earlier this summer, Nicole Richie told Diane Sawyer that she was going to jail as, “my way of paying my dues and taking responsibility and being an adult.” So, for 82 minutes yesterday, Nicole Richie was an adult.

The initial sentence for her DUI conviction was four days.  However due to overcrowding, the Simple Life star was released less than two hours after she was put in jail.
