celebrity legalLegal issues that celebrities are involved in Thursday, June 14, 2007 Joe Francis’ Girls Gone Wild Days On Hold
We’ve all seen them on TV. The Girls Gone Wild commercials seem to permeate late night television, and it’s hard to believe that so many girls would clamor to expose themselves for nothing more than a free t-shirt. Well, two of those girls are suing GGW creator Joe Francis, and they mean business.
This past Monday, a lawsuit was filed in Panama City alleging that Brooke Pastolic and Christina Brose were lured onto the GGW bus, and given alcoholic beverages before they were coerced into sexual acts that appeared on the brand’s DVDs. The kicker is that they were both under 21, and never consented to the filming (or were too drunk to know they consented).

It seems as though Paris Hilton has finally gotten over the party lifestyle that has made her famous. After just a few days behind bars, she has found God and claims that she’s “not the same person I was.” This all according to interview legend Barbara Walters, who got a phone interview with the heiress earlier this week.
“I used to act dumb. It was an act. I’m 26 years old, and that act is no longer cute. It is not who I am, nor do I want to be that person for the young girls who looked up to me.”

If you’re keeping score, it’s Judge 2, Sheriff 0. That’s right, Paris Hilton was ordered to go back to jail, and to appear in person for her court hearing on Friday. The sheriff who allowed Hilton to leave early has had his decision revoked by the judge who originally sentenced her.
So Paris spent this past weekend in prison, and there wasn’t much fanfare. She received a visit from her sister Nicky and her ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos III. Paris got to spend a little time with them yesterday, which has hopefully calmed her down a bit.

permalink Friday, June 08, 2007 Paris Hilton’s Going Back To Jail!
Paris Hilton has been ordered back to jail. Taken out of the courtroom screaming, the heiress is returning to her Los Angeles County Jail suite to finish out her sentence. The real kicker… Paris is not just going to have to finish out her 23 day sentence, as Judge Sauer hit her with her full 45 days in lockup. As reported by Fox News, Hilton left the courtoom in tears, screaming, “It’s not riiiigggghhhhtttt,” followed by, “Mom, Mom, Mom.” posted by at 04:52 PM | (3) comments |

Just when we thought that Paris Hilton was going to be locked up for her full sentence, she goes and gets a medical condition. That’s right, Paris is in jail no more.
The heiress was released from the Century Regional Detention Facility in suburban Los Angeles just after 2am. She was fitted with an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet to keep her under house arrest.
