Lindsay Lohan: Booked In Jail, Out On Bail

Continuing to take a proactive approach in an attempt to avoid a Paris Hilton-like jailhouse fate, actress Lindsay Lohan surrendered to Beverly Hills Police late Thursday afternoon in connection with her Memorial Day weekend DUI.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s website, LiLo was taken into custody at about 4 p.m. and booked 15 minutes later. She was released in a swift hour’s time in lieu of $30,000 bail.

Shakira Decides On Prenup

When you’re rich and famous, everyone is trying to get a piece of you.  That’s why Shakira’s advisors are pushing her to sign a prenuptial agreement before she marries Antonio de la Rua. 

The Colombian singer has agreed to a prenup before she marries Antonio this September in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.  They’ve been engaged for six years, and now they’re moving forward. 

Victoria Beckham Talks Traffic Stop

As a result of moving so that her husband could lace up the cleats for the Los Angeles Galaxy, Victoria Beckham has needed to adjust to several different customs here in the US; and it appears that proper driving skills are among those.

After an incident of being pulled over by the LAPD, Posh confessed that while she was concerned, it wasn’t because she was afraid that she might be in trouble with the law, rather it was a wardrobe problem. She explains further, “I was completely shocked and devastated because I was wearing flat shoes… I didn’t know whether to pose or get arrested.”

Madonna: Malawi Checking In On David Banda

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are getting a live-in guest for the next few days. Penston Kilembe, head of the child welfare services in Malawi, is visiting Madonna’s London abode to conduct a “home study” assessment in regards to the potential adoption of David Banda. 

The purpose of the assessment is for Mr. Kilembe to gather information that will help the Malawi child services decide whether or not to allow Madonna to adopt David. The two primary concerns the welfare services has are if David is comfortable with his new family, and whether or not the excessive media coverage is negatively affecting David’s development.

Hilton Cousin Settles Crash Lawsuit; Paris Sings

The legal spotlight never seems to leave Paris Hilton, but this time there will be no jail time. Paris’ cousin, Brooke Brinson, settled a three year old lawsuit in which Brinson and Paris were taken to court by crash victims Ivan Alvarez and Monica Delgado.

The case: Brinson reportedly caused a four lane car crash on an LA freeway while driving the socialite’s car. Alvarez and Delgado were involved in the crash with their child, claiming damages resulting from the accident.
