If you were alive in the mid-1980s, you will most likely remember Cyndi Lauper’s classic “True Colors”. For some it is just a love song, while others have attached more significance to the ballad.
“A lot of people were saying that when it came out (in 1986) they were teenagers and they were coming out,” says Lauper, 53, a longtime supporter of gay rights. “They were disowned by their family and their friends and their jobs got all messed up and they were totally alone, and suicidal, and then they heard `True Colors’ and it made them feel hopeful.”

The show ”American Idol“ and former Season 4 finalist Mario Vazquez are being sued by an ex-employee named Magdaleno Olmos. The former assistant production accountant brazenly alleges that he was fired for complaining of sexual harassment, stemming from a sexually charged bathroom incident. Looking back, Vazquez left the show two seasons ago for personal reasons, telling Access Hollywood at the time, “It has nothing to do with my family, nothing with me being sick, nothing like that. permalink Sylvester Stallone Faces Steroid Charges
Sylvester Stallone faces legal ramifications after bringing a restricted substance into Australia. The famous movie star has been charged with one count of importing a banned substance. Stallone and staff were detained at Sydney airport for a number of hours on Feb. 16, after entering the country on business. Customs officials were quick to go through his bags, confiscating certain possessions, and later had a detail search his hotel room. The notorious Trevor Smith (aka Busta Rhymes) found himself without work this month, when he was banned from a film set in New York City.
Although the rapper has had other legal problems this past year, including a physical altercation over payment with his old driver, none have raised as many eyebrows as this latest unusual development unfolds.

permalink Monday, March 12, 2007 Snoop Dogg Arrested In Stockholm Drug Bust
Rapper Snoop Dogg was recently arrested in Stockholm, Sweden on suspicion on minor drug offenses. The arrest occurred after a performance at the Globen Arena. Snoop was in Stockholm on the Pass The Puff European Tour, which is being co-headlined by Sean “Diddy” Combs.
