K-Fed Pushes Britney Spears Towards Rehab

Now that Lindsay Lohan has taken the plunge, it seems that Britney Spears is being pushed to follow suit. It seems all too funny, but is K-Fed playing the role of responsible parent?

Federline is urging his estranged wife, Britney, to get into rehab. He has not yet offered to foot the credit card bill (these places cost thousands and thousands of dollars!), yet he is adamant that she needs to go.

“Kevin has tried to convince Britney to check herself into rehab from every possible angle,” a source from msnbc online stated. “First he tried threatening to take away the kids, then he tried pleading with her to take care of herself.”

Diaz Relaxes In Hawaii With Surf Pro

Cameron Diaz, who split from longtime love Justin Timberlake last month, headed to Oahu, Hawaii’s North Shore last week for some much-needed relaxation time with champion surfer Kelly Slater. The credit card bill for the plane ticket and luxury hotel stay was worth every penny, or so it seems.

Diaz and Slater were surrounded by camera phone carrying vacationers and photographed catching some waves on Friday. Later, witnesses spotted them shopping and sharing a sunset dinner at Haleiwa Joe’s restaurant, reports People.

In more recent reports, Slater’s mother, Judy, insists there is nothing romantic going on.

She tells the upcoming issue of America’s In Touch magazine, “They have been friends for a long time.”

The Diaz-Timberlake Golden Globes Scoop

The millions of people watching on tv, even the hi-def plasma tv’s, couldn’t see it. But, it’s rumored that there was a lot of behind-the-scenes action at Monday’s Golden Globe Awards to readjust the seating at the Beverly Hilton event. This was to prevent any awkward moments for former couple and Globe presenters, Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz.

Globe producers had to rearrange seating for the two who both presented awards for separate categories.

Philip Berk, the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which oversees the Globes, said, “We checked with one of their publicists to make sure it was OK and we haven’t heard anything otherwise, so they will be sitting separately.”

Meanwhile, at the event, Justin realized that Cameron was working the red carpet, then he disappeared through a back door at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, only to re-emerge a little later when Diaz was done with her interviews.

Shannon Elizabeth Divorce Update

Shannon has signed over a sum of money to her estranged husband, Joe Reitman. Just how big a piece, however, remains unclear.

According to recent court documents, the divorcing duo reached a final settlement in a civil suit filed by Reitman in March 2006 seeking half of all assets, property, earnings and investments accumulated by the couple in the five years they lived together before marrying in June 2002.

The case is separate from Shannon and Joe’s actual divorce proceedings, which were reportedly also nearing resolution.
Shannon filed for divorce in June 2005, three months after the couple announced they were separating but would remain friends.

The following March, Joe decided that friendship wasn’t everything and sued his former bride for an even share of the money that she made from her popular movie releases.

Britney & K-Fed Set Child Custody Arrangements

With divorce attorneys working diligently, it appears Brit and K-Fed have come to an agreement on the custody of their two children, 16-month-old Sean Preston Federline and 4-month-old Jayden James Federline.

Britney filed for divorce from K-Fed on November 7, citing irreconcilable differences. In a sly maneuver, K-Fed counter-filed, seeking spousal support (otherwise he would need to undego debt consolidation to settle all of his credit card bills) and custody of the children.

K-Fed will be allowed to visit the little ones at Britney’s home from noon to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, according to reports. He also requested that only Britney, her assistant, the nanny, and other household staff be present in the house at the time of the visits. Who he did not want there is still a bit of a mystery, but it must have been someone, or why would he have made the request? If anyone has any ideas, grab your laptop and send us a message. Those close to Britney have come forward saying that the she could no longer carry her husband, whom she married in October 2004. Apparently, Fed’s taste was a little too much for Brit’s credit card.

“She tried to support him as much as she could, but at the end of the day she realized it wasn’t best for her and her children to stay,” a source close to Spears told People in its upcoming cover story. “She’s standing up for herself and making positive changes in her life.”
