How will the world go on? How will we fill the void? If you love Punk’d as much as I do, you are asking yourself the same questions. On Monday, MTV Newtworks Music Group entertainment president Brian Graden said the show is officially finished after this upcoming season.
This isn’t the first time such an announcement has been made. In December 2003, following the show’s second season, executive producer Ashton Kutcher said he was pulling the plug. Speculation immediately arose that it was a ploy to lower the guard of celebrity targets; indeed, “Punk’d” returned in April 2004.

The beautiful Vanessa Williams had an excellent day yesterday, as she enjoyed being officially inducted into Hollywood history. The former Miss America was awarded the 2,331st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Despite her success, the talented singer/actress has had her share of Hollywood hardships. In 1984, she gave up her crown as Miss America as a result of Penthouse’s release of some old nude photographs.

CBS dominated the nominations for the daytime Emmy’s this year. Not only were they the most nominated network with fifty seven, the broadcaster did especially well in the drama category.
CBS’s soap opera’s, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless, and Guiding Light, along with ABC’s One Life To Live, were the four nominees up for the coveted best drama category. Although CBS won three of the four spots, the show Guiding Light truly cleaned up with a total of seventeen nominations.

R.E.M. ended out a lengthy night of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions with a gracious salute by Michael Stipe to the other inductees: Van Halen, Patti Smith, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five and The Ronettes.
The Athens, GA native band, who set the stage early in the 80s for a myriad of alt-rock and, later, emo bands was honored at New York City’s Waldorf-Astoria. Michael Stipe and crew even played The Stooges’ “I wanna be your dog” to the delight of ceremony attenders.

Another awards show has come and gone. Last night, the Soul Train Awards saw top honors bestowed upon Mary J Blige and Jamie Foxx.
Disappointingly for show producers, neither turned up to collect their awards at the ceremony held in Pasadena, California, on Saturday.
