So, whatcha doing Britney Spears?

Britney turned up at Los Angeles’ KIIS radio station last week to play a new song called “Mona Lisa” and said it’s from her new album that will be out this summer.

But just less than 2 months ago she said she was leaving the biz.

Oh and there was some rumor I heard about her wanting to go to college to be a Crime Scene Investigator ala CSI. (Hmm, been watching TV Brit Brit?)

I’ve heard she’s writing a musical that makes fun of Hollywood.

Britney & Kev baby are working on a clothing line.

Oh, and last but not least.. she’s supposedly going to manage Kevin’s Rap career?

Gee whiz, what is the girl doing? Anyone know? Please tell me. I just HAVE to know the truth!

AND… according to a representative for Britney Spears’ label, Jive Records, “No album is scheduled at the moment,” but she added that “Britney is in the studio working on some material.” There are no plans to service “Mona Lisa” to radio.

A new baby for Britney

Britney Spears dined at a Malibu restaurant with the new love of her life - a tiny hairless Chihuahua pup.

Brit brought along her new pooch to the exclusive Moonshadows eaterie - and even dragged along hubby Kevin Federline.

Britney was quick to make sure the pampered pooch, real name not yet known, was achingly fashionable. 

The doggie was donned in an up-to-date red and black poncho. Lucky mutt! (errr shall I say poor little puppy!)

Sweet hubby, Kevin, strolled to the restaurant with the dog in his arms. But when he saw the paparazzi -and mindful of his manly image - he quickly handed the slavering pooch to his missus.  Britney immediately placed it in a Burberry-style doggie tote, along with a bowl of water - and her Kabbalah book.

Pop princess Britney Spears says she’s met her ‘prince’

Britney Spears says she’s met her “prince” after kissing a “bunch of frogs.” And her fiance, dancer Kevin Federline, says he’s “known for a while that she’s the one.”

“They’re a good fit,” Spears’ mother, Lynne, tells People Magazine. 

In their first interview since their engagement, Spears, 22, and Federline, 26, gush to People senior editor Todd Gold about their whirlwind romance (they met in April), her five-carat diamond ring and their desire to have a big family (Spears wants four, maybe five kids).

Is she rushing into things? “This is my life and I don’t care what people think,” she tells People. “I’m going to get married. I’m in love.”

Those rumors about a shotgun wedding? “I’m not pregnant,” she says simply. Clearly, for Spears, love is the center of her life right now, perhaps even eclipsing her passion for music. The pop star, who in January had anulled a two-day marriage to a childhood friend, announced last week that she was engaged to Federline.

Between the kissing, the hugging, the “oh, baby’s” and even some lap-nestling, the couple recount Spears’ marriage proposal aboard a plane heading to New York after her European tour ended.

“We always talked about how some people don’t have to get married when they’re in love then all of a sudden I said, “what if you want to get married?” And I kind of went from there to asking him if he would marry me.” Federline said no.

“I was taken by surprise. I thought the guy was supposed to ask the girl. So a couple minutes went by and then I asked her.”

“My head was spinning,” he says. “I’d known for a while that she’s the one.”

Spears: “Oh, baby. Really?”

Federline: “Yeah."(Kiss, kiss.)

The couple won’t divulge any wedding details, but Spears says she checked the Internet to find a wedding planner to start plans immediately. She picked out her ring - a five-carat diamond, set on twin diamond-encrusted bands - about a week ago.

Spears has plenty of time to plan the big event. At least four months. That’s how long Spears will be recovering from a June 8 knee injury, which meant she had to cancel the last leg of her Onyx Hotel tour. “I was ready for a break,” she tells People. “It had been a great tour, but my head wasn’t really into it.” A greatest hits album is due Nov. 16.

Federline has met Spears’ mother, Lynne, and gets her blessing. “They’re a good fit,” she tells People. And Spears has met Federline’s parents. The pop princess is looking forward to meeting Federline’s 2-year-old daughter with actress Shar Jackson, who is expecting a second child next month.

By the time he met Spears in April, Federline says, his relationship with Jackson “was already done. I love my children more than life itself. My kids will always be a part of my life.” And it sounds as if kids will be part of the Spears/Federline family, too.

“I’m not going to say if it’ll be soon,” says Federline. “We’re starting with a dog,” adds Spears.

Britney Spears ENGAGED to Kevin Federline

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Just months after annulling her quickie wedding to a childhood friend, pop idol Britney Spears is ready for another trip to the altar.

Her personal publicist and her label, Jive Records, both confirmed on Friday that the 22-year-old singer is engaged to marry her new boyfriend, dancer Kevin Federline.

But Federline reportedly has been dating Spears for about two months and moved in with her after she underwent arthroscopic surgery two weeks ago to repair a knee injury she suffered while shooting a music video.

According to media reports, Federline, 26, has a 2-year-old daughter by his ex-girlfriend, former “Moesha” TV actress Shar Jackson, who also is pregnant with a second child.

Federline reportedly met Spears during her 2000 tour, when he was in the opening act, and also was a backup dancer for Spear’s former beau, pop star Justin Timberlake, at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards.

Spears and Federline were first captured by photographers together in Santa Monica, California, in April and were chased by the paparazzi again during her European tour.

Britney Spears CANCELS tour - knee injury to blame

It looks like that bum knee got her out of the Black Onyx Tour that she was struggling to keep up with.. rumor had it that she was fed up and tired.. and just wanted to go home. Well Britney it looks like dreams do come true - even if it’s in a not so pleasant way.......

After last week’s injury resulting from a fall on the set of her video shoot for “Outrageous” in Queens, NY, Britney Spears underwent arthroscopic knee surgery at a New York hospital. The surgery was necessary to repair severe damage caused to the singer’s leg by the incident.

Ms. Spears will be immobile for 6 weeks, with her knee in a hard brace. This will be followed by a minimum of 8-12 weeks of rehabilitation.

The second U.S. leg of The Onyx Hotel Tour which was scheduled to begin on June 22nd in Hartford, CT and end in Bakersfield, CA on August 15th is cancelled.
