While her co-star Chace Crawford was flying back to NYC, Blake Lively was hard at work, filming scenes for the upcoming season of Gossip Girl (slated to begin September 1st).

The beautiful blonde babe was spotted in New York City’s Brooklyn borough horsing around with her on-screen mother Kelly Rutherford while filming a shopping sequence.

Leighton Meester Loves the Gossip Girl Ads

The hit show Gossip Girl is getting ready for its second season, and although critics and parents have put a negative spin on the show’s latest advertising campaign, the cast says they don’t mind at all.

Leighton Meester (who plays Blair Waldorf on the show) told press at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday: “We just end up seeing it on a billboard somewhere, but I think that it’s smart and it’s fine and it’s cool.”

Gossip Girl in Chinatown

Though they’re usually most at home on their Hamptons set, the cast of Gossip Girl received a little lesson in culture when shooting was relocated to Manhattan’s Chinatown district Tuesday (August 5).

And it looks like Blake Lively’s hair had a massive freakout, as she was spotted sporting a super-volumized coif as she held her pet pooch in between takes.

With her sure-to-be-a-hit sequel “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2” hitting theatres this Wednesday, Blake Lively is hot on the promotional trail.

Taking a break from her duties on the Gossip Girl set, the blonde babe was spotted in Times Square for an appearance on Good Morning America, along with co-stars America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel.

2008 Teen Choice Winners

Though the 2008 Teen Choice Awards don’t hit the airwaves until tonight at 8pm EST on FOX, we already have the list of the night’s winners - and Gossip Girl, the Jonas Brothers, and Miley Cyrus all took home some serious surfboards!

As the host of the evening, the “Hannah Montana” hottie took home three of the four awards she was up for, losing out to the Jonas Brothers in the Choice Music: Single category.
