If you’re going to a Beyonce Knowles concert, you may notice a serious lack of something very obvious on stage - Men. She hired a women-only band/tour cast and she says its been great. The Bootylicious singer told press, “I grew up in a house with so many women. I love being around women, I love being around talented women and supportive women.” And apparently the estrogen-rich environment has been a positive move. posted by at 10:07 AM | (0) comments |

In the recording industry, there’s always a deal to be made. This time, it looks like Jay-Z is taking his star power from current label Island Def Jam to Columbia Records after Island made some interesting decisions. Jay may feel a bit crowded after Jermaine Dupri was added to the executive level of Island’s urban music division earlier this year. A source close to Jay told press, “There isn’t room for two kings at one label. Why would Island bring in another power-hitter urban guy?” posted by Kayla at 09:42 AM | (0) comments |

Beyonce Knowles played yet another sold out show on her US tour Sunday night. But something went terribly awry. Two fans were injured by pyrotechnics, and had to be rushed to the hospital just after the show began.
Two fans at the St. Louis show ended up in the emergency room due to injuries sustained by the stage show’s special effects. A spokeswoman for the event wouldn’t release the names of the victims, but said that they were going to be fine.

On the heels of an outstanding performance at the 2007 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, Beyonce Knowles may have some secret big plans in the months ahead; Motherhood.
According to a MediaTakeout source, Jay-Z’s arm candy may be carrying his baby. There are unconfirmed reports that the Irreplacable singer has been acting differently lately, with the common denominator being a possible pregnancy.

permalink Monday, July 02, 2007 Rufus Wainwright; No Fan of Beyonce
If you’re going to see Beyonce Knowles in concert, and you have an extra ticket, don’t invite Rufus Wainwright. You’ll get an emphatic “NO!”
The Canadian-American gay pop icon has been blasting the Bootylicious singer in the press recently. He openly calls her one of the worst performers making hit singles because her music is thoughtless.

Jo comments on: Halle Berry: Vampire Vixen I love Halle’s tshirt! Does anyone know where to find it? I just bought a swarovski encrusted tshirt at a Twilight convention and it rocks!
here’s where I got mine:
Where can I get Halle’s? Does anyone know? Walker comments on: Reese Witherspoon Fights Domestic Violence in the UK Good for her. I feel like domestic violence is the red-headed step-child of violence issues. It’s easy to speak out against government-induced famine, or wars that kill civilians, or rape. But domestic violence is a very sensitive issue because it is so common! I’m glad Reese is getting people talking. Another voice brave enough to speak on domestic violence is that of Marala Scott, author of the book, “In Our House: Perception vs. Reality.” She is specifically interested in the “Indicators of an Abuser,” a tool she developed to help people recognize patterns in others (or in themselves) that might signify abusive tendencies in the future. Really fascinating stuff, that - you can see them here. Keep up the good work, Reese! Douglas Harnett comments on: Lindsay Lohan: Seeing Kevin Connolly? linsay just needs to leave that loser kevin connolly and come to me with her sexy a** N.J. comments on: Adam Lambert: More Cancellations ABC is really showing their true colors right now… They invited Adam Lambert to do the closing numer on that awards show, they WANTED it to be racy and risky and announced the “Shocking” performance a dozen times throughout the show. And now that the’ve used him to garner ratings they throw him under the bus??? This has nothing to do with his performance, this is a witch hunt. Nothing else! And just because Adam Lambert is gay nobody dares to speak up… it’s disgusting.
These are not the “values” I want my children to learn, I will no longer allow them to watch ABC or any affiliated companies.
Evey comments on: Orlando Bloom: Vdara Hotel Hunk We’ve heard these same stories about this guy when he was seeing a past girlfriend. I wish you guys would try to use your imaginations and think up better stories. Next week you’ll be claiming Miranda is shopping for a wedding dress. And then that she and Orlando were looking at rings. Just like before. It’s so predictable, it’s boring. Anna comments on: Keira Knightley Continues Work on "The Misanthrope" I love this girl. She is so talented and gorgeous. I wish her all the best with the play, I’m sure she’ll be great! |
