Rihanna and Akon Do Cipriani For Charity

Yesterday was another busy day for Barbadian singer Rihanna, with stops at MTV Studios and a concert at Cipriani Wall Street on the agenda.

Recently nominated for the American Music Awards Female R & B artist of the year, the 19-year-old “Umbrella” singer spent a bit of time filming an episode the Total Request Live, for which she brought her new puppy along.

Prison Paris Gets Akon’s Attention

Of all the celebrities in Hollywood, you wouldn’t think that Paris Hilton would top the list of girls with street cred.  But according to R & B star Akon, she has what it takes.

Now that Paris has done hard time (arguably), Akon wants to help the heiress make her next album much more successful than her last.  And it’s just in time, given that Warner Brothers just dropped her from their label.

Akon’s Underage Dance Partner Given Award

You all remember earlier this year when hip hop star Akon was busted for simulating sex with a then 14-year-old onstage at one of his concerts.  What you may not know is that she is now being given an award.

Danah Alleyne, the Trinidadian girl that got freaky with Akon is being honored with a “Youth Motivator Award.” It’s kinda hard to believe, really, and the entire nation of Trinidad is pretty up in arms about it.

Akon Apologizes For Going Too Far

Life is good when you’re a superstar…especially when your album is selling millions and you’re touring with Gwen Stefani.  Akon is riding high on the wave of his success.  Now if he could just keep his hands off the underage girls at his shows.

Last April 12th in Trinidad, Akon invited a girl onstage from the audience.  Apparently overtaken by the moment, the “Smack That” rapper started dirty dancing with the willing participant, to the point of simulating sex.
