Anna Nicole Smith Bahamian Funeral A Go

Twenty-two days after her death, Anna Nicole Smith is finally set to be buried in the Bahamas tomorrow, March 2nd, after her mother dropped her appeal for custody of Anna Nicole’s body.

In the most recent event in the courtroom drama, Virgie Arthur has decided to abandon her efforts to challenge the decision made by a Florida appeal court that custody of the model’s remains should go to Richard Milstein, the court-appointed guardian of her five-month-old daughter, Dannielynn.

In an earlier court filing, professional guardian Richard Milstein reminded everyone that “every witness including her mother, Virgie Arthur, testified that Anna Nicole Smith expressed an interest in being buried in either California or the Bahamas.”

Anna Nicole Smith Dies At Age 39

In a sadly unexpected news release from the ap, Anna Nicole Smith died Thursday February 8, after collapsing at a South Florida hotel, one of her lawyers said. The former Playboy playmate, whose bizarre life careened from marrying an octogenarian billionaire to the untimely death of her son was 39 years of age.

According the the press statement, Smith collapsed and was unresponsive while staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino, said the attorney, Ron Rale. She was rushed to a hospital.

“She checked in Monday at 8 p.m. as a guest. She was due to check out tomorrow,” said Danielle Giordaano, a spokeswoman for the hotel.

Angelia Jolie’s Mother Loses Fight With Cancer

Angelina Jolie is coping with the loss of her mother over the weekend. She announced on Sunday that her mother, Marcheline Bertrand has lost her six-year battle with ovarian cancer.

According to E Online, Marcheline Bertrand passed away on Saturday afternoon at Los Angeles’ Cedar-Sinai Medical Center and Angelina Jolie was at her side, along with her brother James Haven and her partner Brad Pitt.

Jolie jetted across the country to get to the hospital when she heard that her mother’s condition had worsened. She reportedly arrived four hours before her mother’s passing. Bertrand was only 56 years old (although some news sources have listed her age as 59) and had been battling cancer for nearly seven years.

Boasting Can Really Get You in Trouble

For weeks we’ve all been hearing about Perez Hilton and his battle with the paparazzi.  There were tons of rumors of lawsuits swirling, but no one knew for sure what was going on until last night.

Splash made headlines over a week ago with their video footage of Perez being served papers which he then tossed into a garbage bin.  Classy.

So after this, what did Perez do? Nothing. Ignore it.  Gave a few interviews. Kept blogging and made even more enemies.  Seven total, to be exact.

What will happen now?  Well, he’s got a couple days to make some major decisions or face the music.  But wait… that’s not all.  He also got hit with a 7.5 million dollar lawsuit from x17 Agency yesterday.  So that makes eight enemies. 

If you’ve read x17’s blog, you knew they were really serious about their problem with Perez, and it was just a matter of time before they filed the paperwork for their lawsuit against him.

Did he stop blogging or delete his archives? No.  Why not? I guess he really and truly believes he is above the law. Sad.
