Russell Brand Pulls Plug on BBC Radio Two

He made a huge splash into American popular culture with his role in the hit film “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” followed up with a hosting gig on this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.  But earlier this week, Russell Brand may have taken things too far on his BBC Radio show.

The actor/deejay reportedly left “lewd messages” on 78-year-old actor Andrew Sachs’ voicemail regarding Sachs’ granddaughter Georgina Baillie, whom Brand once dated.  Then he played the messages on the air.

Paris Hilton Sticks Up for the Jonas Brothers

Sunday night, Britain’s own comedian Russell Brand hosted MTV’s Video Music Awards. Brand had formally worked as a VJ for MTV, but was fired after coming to work dressed as Osama Bin Laden.

Brand, who had already been beating on touchy subjects such as politics, soon began on the Jonas Brothers. Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas, whose concerts have sold out in minutes, wear promise rings as a commitment to themselves to remain virgins until marriage. And Brand used the topic as the source for many of his jokes.

Christina Aguilera and Russell Brand Team Up For MTV

Fresh off of the launch of her new perfume “Inspire”, Christina Aguilera attended the 2008 MTV VMA press conference to announce that she’ll be performing a special rendition of “Genie in a Bottle” as part of the 25th annual VMA’s most memorable performances.

In what’s sure to be a wondrous performance, Christina’s turn at the stage will also mark her first televised performance since giving birth to baby Max earlier this year.

Russell Brand Entertains the Ladies

Ready to take America by storm as he hosts the MTV Video Music Awards a few weeks from now, Russell Brand was spotted taking advantage of time in the States with a trip to the Urth Cafe in West Hollywood on Thursday (August 21).

According to a source on the scene, Brand kept various ladies entertained while at the cafe for breakfast - seemingly enjoying all that America has to offer.
