2006 Empire Magazine Awards Winners

’King Kong’ stole the show at the 2006 Empire Magazine Awards. The monster movie remake - directed by Peter ‘Lord Of The Rings’ Jackson - walked away with the Best Movie award at last night’s ceremony in London, England.

The prize - voted for by readers of the respected film magazine - was a late result for the blockbuster after it was ignored at both the Oscars and the Golden Globes.

Best British Movie went to Pride & Prejudice, which starred Keira Knightley. Meanwhile, another Brit-flick ‘Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’ picked up an award for Best directors for Nick Park and Steve Box.

Elsewhere, ‘Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith’ won two awards, while the stars of the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise were honored for their outstanding contribution to the British film industry. Omar Vargas comments on: Adam Lambert: Standing Behind AMA Performance

HoHum.  He didn’t do anything Madonna didn’t already do back in the day.

Joey comments on: Rihanna Helps Boost AMA Ratings

OMG, what performance were you watching? I’ve been around the internet & fund that most people agree that Rihanna’s perforance ust doesn’t get any better because she lacks performance skills. Looking sexy doesn’t cut it for most. In fact she’s looking very tactless in her costumes of choice.

The high rating were no thanks to Rihanna’s performance. The audience was on their feet at the beginning because they thought she deserved a warm welcome back, which wasn’t her first performance. Did we forget about the Nov 16th Nokia worldwide broadcast she did fm London? At least she had the help of Jay-z & Young Jeezy. This young lady needs all the help she can get. How are so many people impressed with her? I know, it’s much to do about nothing; unwarranted media hype for Rihanna, who is a very undeserving “role model”...Janet Jackson, Adam Lambert & Lady Gaga’s performances were very good!

Merlin comments on: Katherine Heigl: Baby Shower Babe

I think this baby is so cute and congratulation on her sister for her new baby.
