Patrick Swayze: Still Hanging On

Despite rumors that he had succumbed to his pancreatic cancer, Patrick Swayze is reportedly still alive and kicking, according to his rep Annett Wolf.

Earlier today she told press, “This is to confirm that Patrick Swayze did not pass away this morning contrary to severely reckless reports stemming from a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida.  Patrick Swayze is alive, well and is enjoying his life and he continues to respond to treatment.”

He’s been in a battle for his life against pancreatic cancer, and Patrick Swayze isn’t giving up yet.  He was spotted recently at a gas station in Los Angeles looking like a shadow of his former self.

And according to reports, the “Dirty Dancing” actor has signed a “Do Not Resuscitate” order, requiring doctors to let him die in the event that he stops breathing or his heart stops beating.

The “Dirty Dancing” stud worked with the late actress in the film “Waking Up in Reno” and gave a heartfelt statement to press regarding her passing.

He’s been on the losing end of a battle with pancreatic cancer, but in a recent interview Patrick Swayze insisted that he’s still holding his ground.

The 56-year-old actor told press, “It’s amazing to me that the tabloids such as the National Enquirer print such negative stories about me and my health when there are so many positive things going on in my life right now. I’ve started a new chemotherapy and, once again, I am one of the lucky ones with pancreatic cancer that is responding well to the treatment.”

Since last March, Patrick Swayze has been fighting for his life in a battle with pancreatic cancer.  And he’s calling foul at reports that he stopped his treatment.

According to the “Dirty Dancer” actor’s rep Annett Wolf, “The reports are not true. Patrick is continuing his treatment.”
