Jessica Biel Takes Lindsay Lohan’s Role In ‘A Woman of No Importance’

While Lindsay Lohan has been spending her time in rehab, trying to straighten out her life, others have been reaping the rewards of her absence. Take Jessica Biel, who has just reportedly landed a plum movie role that had been originally intended for Lindsay.

Biel, 24, will now play Hester Worsley in the film version of Oscar Wilde’s “A Woman of No Importance,” Myriad Films stated in a release to InTouch magazine.

Lindsay Lohan Withdraws from Movie for Rehab

Lindsay Lohan has taken a pounding in the press for her laissez-faire attitude towards rehab, and at least some part of the message made its way through.  The Gossip Girls have learned that Lindsay has decided to remove herself from the upcoming film “A Woman of No Importance”.  This move was made so that she can focus all of her energies on getting better.

Lohan’s publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, told TMZ that Lindsay is “putting herself first and decided not to push herself”.  Lohan, says Sloane, will be taking a few more months of downtime before she embarks on the press tour for the upcoming “Georgia Rule.”

Lindsay Lohan Draws Complaints From Rehab Residents

Lindsay Lohan has managed to stir up trouble with residents of the Los Angeles rehab facility she checked into earlier this month. The reason..... they claim she’s treating the facility like her own luxury hotel.

The other patients seeking counseling and treatment at the Wonderland center are upset with Lohan’s trips out of the facility - and the fact she’s being allowed to continue working on her new movie while in rehab.

The final straw reportedly came yesterday when Lindsay took a break from rehab to have her Mercedes serviced and do a little shopping on the town.

Sources at Wonderland have aired their grievances to TMZ, claiming the actress is getting special treatment.

Lindsay Banned From Sundance By Doctors

Lindsay has been told by doctors at her rehab facility that she will not be attending the premiere of her new movie release.

The sunglass and lip gloss loving actress, who checked herself into the Wonderland Center in Los Angeles’ Laurel Canyon last on January 17th, was hoping to attend the launch of her crime drama “Chapter 27” at the Sundance Film festival in Park City, Utah this week.

However, Lindsay was banned from attending by her doctors, who feared it might harm her progress.

A Life Style Extra release quoted a source ass saying: “The doctors have told her she has got to stay put as leaving the center would interfere with her treatment.”

The counselors were appropriately worried the 20-year-old might give in to temptation and start drinking again.

Lindsay Lohan’s Mother Speaks Out

According to a CBS news report, Lindsay’s mother, Dina Lohan, spoke exclusively to “Entertainment Tonight” about her daughter’s troubles, and she blames the tabloids for being relentless in pursuing the young actress.

“Lindsay’s under a microscope,” she says. “The media puts this ridiculousness out there.”

This happens to be a big concern for her mother.

“You know, the positive thing is someone is trying to help themselves, and I’ll leave it at that,” Lohan told “ET.” “There are helicopters outside our apartment. I mean, this child can’t even go to Starbucks without someone saying ‘Oh, her hair looks ...’ “

The actress checked herself into the exclusive “Wonderland Center” for addiction treatment this week. There were reports of her partying until 6 in the morning at the Beverly Hilton hotel after the Golden Globes.
