Nick Carter Opens Up About Troubled Past

It’s no secret that Backstreet Boy Nick Carter has had some rough times. And after 10 years of struggling with alcohol and drugs, he is opening up.

Having a strong addiction, Carter felt nothing could make him stop, not a DUI, a fight, or weight gain.

Making for quite the celebration, Nick Carter ushered in his 29th birthday at The Key Club with a gathering of good friends on Monday night (January 26).

“They shut off all the lights and did a surprise for Nick downstairs early in the night,” an onlooker told People magazine. “They all yelled surprise and they had cupcakes for him.”

Backstreet Boys Land Down Under

It seems that more and more American celebrities are making their way to Australia these days.  And the latest US imports to hit Aussie shores are the Backstreet Boys.

Touring for their latest release (sans Kevin Richardson) “Unbreakable,” Nick Carter, A.J. McLean, Brian Littrell, and Howie Dorough touched down at the Sydney International Airport earlier today.

Pop siblings Nick and Aaron Carter’s reality TV show project has been greenlighted in Hollywood. The singers’ eight-part family show, The Carters, will debut on cable network E! Entertainment Television this autumn. The series will follow Backstreet Boys star Nick, his younger brother and their three sisters as they try to live together.
