Wentz and Simpson Blast Bad Blood Rumors

Bringing an end to the speculation regarding Fall Out Boy’s bitterness toward bassist Pete Wentz’s girlfriend Ashlee Simpson, the happy couple was spotted grabbing dinner in NYC before showing up at Pete’s club Angels & Kings.

According to guitarist Joe Trohman’s blog, “We don’t have any ‘pals’ that gossip to the tabloids over our business. Those kind of folk are called douchebags, and we don’t fraternize with douchebags. We also don’t blame a certain someone for our lack of a Grammy nod. That’s absolutely f---ing absurd. We might be irrational, chemically imbalanced babies, but our discontent is only directed at those who we feel slighted us to a degree.”

He spent Friday night rocking Madison Square Garden at the 2007 Jingle Ball. And on Saturday night, Pete Wentz returned to the famed NYC arena - but this time the Fall Out Boy bassist was there on a date.

Seated next to girlfriend Ashlee Simpson, the couple joked and laughed with one another while watching the New York Knicks beat the New Jersey Nets 94-86.

Pete Wentz Grammyless Because of Ashlee Simpson?

Pete Wentz wasn’t ambiguous about his disdain for this year’s Grammy Nominations.  Given that his platinum-plus-selling band Fall Out Boy went unmentioned was, admittedly, a bit peculiar.  And now his bandmates are reportedly placing the blame on Wentz’s chick, Ashlee Simpson.

The “La La” singer has apparently tarnished Fall Out Boy’s reputation among music critics as a result of her association with the Clandestine Industries bassist. 

CosmoGIRL! Honors Ashlee Simpson

If you happened to be out and about in New York City yesterday, you may have seen Ashlee Simpson arriving at the Hearst Tower for the 2007 CosmoGIRL! Born to Lead Awards.

The “LaLa” singer was among several celebrities being honored, including Fall Out Boy, Dordin Sparks, Jonas Brothers and Eva Amurri.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz spent last night attending “Vive Le Karaoke” at the Fall Out Boy bassist’s NYC bar, Angels & Kings.

The event, which was hosted by Nylon Magazine, Tommy Hilfiger and Crush, saw the happy couple judge the performers, as they held up scorecards amidst the incessant laughter that kept on throughout the evening.
