In preparation for this weekend’s Super Bowl madness, Ashlee Simpson rolled into Scottsdale, Arizona last night to kick off the week’s festivities at Myst nightclub.

The “Pieces of Me” singer was accompanied by her emo hottie boyfriend, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, as she posed for the paps on the red carpet.  Both were dressed in all-black ensembles complete with similar sneakers.

It’s never a good situation when man’s best friend is feeling under the weather.  And Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz ended up taking Pete’s dog Hemingway to the vet for a checkup.

Luckily, the ailing pooch had nothing more than an ear infection, as the punk/pop pair breathed a collective sigh of relief.

Cloverfield Premiere Wields Star Power

The Paramount Studios Lot in Los Angeles, California was buzzing with A-list celebrities last night for the premiere of the new suspense flick Cloverfield.  And young Hollywood showed up in droves.

The ladies from MTV’s The Hills were in the house for the big movie event.  And while they didn’t show each other any love, both Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag showed up.  Of course, Heidi had Spencer on her arm, and LC was with her gal pal Audrina Patridge.

Pete Wentz Backs Obama

Sweetheart couple Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were spotted by the paparazzi after finishing up lunch at Chin Chin on Sunset Blvd earlier today (January 16).

The musically-inclined pair are getting back to business after spending New Years in Miami, followed by a tropical getaway in Costa Rica filled with poolside bikini-laden fun.

Add another couple to the list of celebrities who spent the beginning of 2008 on a tropical vacation: Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson.

After they finished their New Year’s Eve hosting duties in Miami, Florida, it seems the “La La” singer and her Fall Out Boy hopped a plane to the Central American beaches of Costa Rica (it’s between Nicaragua and Panama).
